Surjit Singh and Anakhi first album for three years was the wicked six-tracker, simply titled Jammin'. This release marked Anakhi's return to form following on from their past album efforts Total Anakhi, Scream and Ouch! The hit songs Gidhe Vich Ajaa Gorea, Anakhi Boliyan and the DJ-friendly Umbie established Surjit Singh as the new face of the 90s Bhangra.

Following their invention in 1992, and the storming debut release The Anakhist featuring the equally mighty hit song Kara Vajda, the boys from Walsall claimed the Platinum Disc at the Asian Pop Awards in 1994 as Best Newcomers before heading out into the world brandishing their ever expanding Bhangra portfolio.

From Jammin' Lok Boliyaan leads with its expressive and compelling vocal melodies, supported by the dance fusion of Nach Nach, Mera Dil, the uplifting Dekho Beliyo and the inspiring sound of Nach Bhabiye. On The Surinder Kaur influenced 'Dudh Peela' pumps out a populist uplifting mainstream style, with rising drum rolls, giant breakdowns filled with swirly synths and grand piano tinkles. Gathered around the almost overpowering vocal delivery, this provides an emphatic encore to the album.
